About D'Pentatonics
The Pentatonics, a group newly formed consisting of the Violinist Ismalia,
Guitarist Redwan Quando,
Bassist Hayatz
and Vocalist Rudy Djoharnaen.
Each with his own experience in the performing arts scene.
Ismalia is a professional violin player and a music teacher.
Currently teaching at Yamaha Music School.
A freelance musician. A sessionist with Malay Traditional Ensemble.
A member of Singapore Malay Orchestra (OMS).
Represented Singapore thru Overseas Performances includes Japan , Taiwan, Korea , Indonesia, Brunei and Malaysia.
Hayatz a freelance musician.
Drummer for ZZ X Prezz(well known 60s’ band)
and also the groovy guy n backbone of OMS.
Redwan Quando currently performs with the SNAPSHOT at Gold Rush.
A guitarist with 16 yrs of experienced.
Overseas performances representing Singapore include Aichi Japan World Music Expo 2005.
Rudy Djoharnaen, a 1999 Anugerah champion, A Malay television talentime produced for Prime 12 (now SURIA)
has been performing at various television shows and events for 5 years. He has performed live in concerts with Singapore People's Association combined
Multi Ethnic Orchestra and in front of top VIPs like the Prime Minister and the President of Singapore.
In music, a pentatonic scale is a scale with five notes per octave.
We interpret such to our own definition of the five, which are:=
4 Performers,
1 Artistic endeavor and expression.
Thus, the name of the group,
D'PENTATONICS.
